Edison Landscaping has a dedicated projects team that installs mulch and pine straw in landscape beds for homeowners throughout Raleigh and Wake County — separate from our lawn and landscape maintenance team.
What We Do
Mulch installation — fresh mulch applied to landscape beds for a clean, finished look and weed control.
Pine straw installation — a natural-looking alternative to mulch, common in Triangle-area landscapes.
Mulch & Pine Straw FAQs
Should I use mulch or pine straw?
Both work well, and it comes down to your yard and preference — pine straw is great for large natural areas and acid-loving plants like azaleas, while mulch holds up better and gives front-yard beds a more polished look. Read our full breakdown: Should I Use Mulch or Pine Straw?
What types of mulch do you install?
We install Triple Shred, Cedar, Designer Brown (dyed walnut), Dyed Black (shredded hardwood), Dyed Brown (shredded hardwood), Dyed Red (shredded hardwood), Pine Bark Nuggets (large and mini), and Playground Mulch.
How much does mulch or pine straw installation cost in Raleigh, NC?
Cost depends on the size of your beds and the material used. We’ll walk the property with you, then follow up with a written estimate for your review.
Is mulch or pine straw included in a maintenance plan?
Bed maintenance (weeding, upkeep) is included in EasyLawn and TotalLawn plans, but fresh mulch or pine straw installation is a separate project.
